CONFIT

We use this convention when we know both hands are balanced and we have enough strength, that slam is possible. OP shows number of controls (CT), she holds: (A = 2 CT, K = 1 CT).

CONFIT is triggered by following sequences:

1NT - 2♠ - 2NT/3♣ - 3♦    ➤    3♥ is negative and shows 3- CT

Only if RE is not a passed hand:

2NT - 3NT    ➤    pass is negative and shows 6- CT

2♣ - 2♦ - 2♥ - 2♠ - 2NT - 3NT    ➤    pass is negative and shows 6- CT

2♣ - 2♦ - 2NT - 3NT    ➤    pass is negative and shows 7- CT

All other bids (NT included) show +1, +2, +3 ... CT

RE bids cheapest NT to suggest the final contract. 

⚠️All other bids (from cheapest on) show 5♣, 5♦ or 44m

Example after 1NT ... 3♦ -

3NT - 4♥    ➤    OP showed 5 CT, RE showed both m 4-4

Example after 2NT - 3NT -

4♣ - 4♥    ➤    OP showed 7 CT, RE showed 5 card ♦

Now OP's cheapest NT suggests final contract (no fit), cheapest m shows m fit (Qxx if 5 card m,  Qxxx if 4 card m was shown by RE). RE sets final contract.

Minimum 10 CTs in both hands are needed for small slam, 11 CTs for grandy.
