Generaly our doubles are for T/O or BOP but they are for penalty if

- after our preempts

- after we have balanced

- in competition with known fit and there is at least one free space for a trial bid

- in competition with no fit and in GF situation

- we (together any side) have previously already doubled twice for T/O

- especially after preempts, the higher the level, less typical a double can be )partner is welcome to pass)

- double of 1NT on direct position or on balancing position after weak 1NT opening

Special doubles

- transfers

- support after 1♦ opening or 1♣ opening and unbalanced

- showing doubled suit if in fear of a typical psyche

- showing doubled suit if artificial, except if showing support, then T/O for oM

- general trial bid when in competition with known fit and no space for a bid

- showing a minor on balancing position after strong 1NT opening

- showing lower suit when doubling splinter

- Multi Landy after opps have opened strong 2♣

Our redoubles are generally for SOS, except:

- after opps' negative double - showing A or K in partner's suit, but no interest to compete
