ONE OFF

When I take a 50-50 chance, I expect it to come off  8 times out of 10 (Hideous Hog)

Goulash Tournament  Bidding System    -    Suggestion

Basic principles:

Points don't count (except to distinguish between balanced hands), we describe distribution.

All doubles up to level 5 are for T/O.

All NT bids are conventional.

All openings above 2NT (included) are GF.

All hands without a singleton are considered balanced (7222 included).

Openings:

Pass describes all unbalanced hands, too weak to open on level 1. Later bids without jumping show a singleton, with jumping a void. All weak balanced hands are opened on level 2.

1♣ = 16+ HC, balanced.

Level 1 openings are passive and show unbalanced hand with a singleton or void in the suit bid. Later rebid of this suit shows void. **Rule of 18 applies**

1NT shows singleton or void in ♣. Later rebid of ♣ shows void. **Rule of 18 applies**

Level 2 openings are passive and show balanced hand (0-15) with at least 4 cards in the suit bid.

2NT shows m two suiter

3♣ shows two suiter ♣ and M

3 shows two suiter and

3 shows two M suiter

3♠ shows two suiter and ♠

3NT shows M one suiter, 4-5 LT

4m shows  6+m4M hand, 5- LT

4M shows  M one suiter, 6+ LT

4NT shows  m one suiter,4-5 LT

5m shows  m one suiter, 6+ LT

Overcalls:

Double up to 4 shows shortage. Later dbl or cue shows void.

Cue bid or NT bid up to 3♠ shows two suiter (Michaels, Unusual). Jump NT bid shows two suite which can not be shown with  Michaels or Unusual.

Overcall shows strong one suiter. Jump overcall shows preempt.
